New Compass Learning folders have been assigned. Make sure you are looking for the "VSS" folders for Week 6 due August 4th.
Reading
New Reading Passages have been posted for each grade level. Also make sure you're submitting reading tracker forms for any books that you read to yourself or that someone else reads to you. We only have about a month left and still lots of books needed to reach our 1,000 mark!
Writing
DOUBLE POINTS FOR THIS WEEK'S WRITING PROMPT - UP TO 20 POINTS!!!
***Prompt - Write about an interesting animal***
Grade 2 Expectations - Tell all about one of your favorite animals that you know a lot about. Tell me everything that you know about the animal and why you love it!
Grade 3 Expectations - Choose an animal and look through books or internet sources to find out as much about the animal as possible. Tell me about where the animal lives, what it eats, how big it is, and anything else that you find interesting.
Grade 4 and 5 Expectations - Research an interesting animal that you'd like to find out more about. Create a PRESENTATION to show what you learned. You should have a title slide as well as a slide for each different topic (such as the animal's habitat, what it eats, its size, its predators, etc...). Try to find some pictures of your animal to add to the presentation. MAKE SURE YOU CREATE A CITATION SLIDE AT THE END OF YOUR PRESENTATION TO SHOW WHERE YOU GOT YOUR INFORMATION AND PICTURES!
